Japan, average speed for Internet access is 61 MEGABYTES PER SECOND at RM58 per month. Malaysia average speed for Internet access 1 MEGABYTE PER SECOND at RM88 per month. WTF!!!!

Internets speeds and costs around the world proves only one thing. We are lied to, day in day out, by our service providers. And it doesn’t help that some Government officials are ignorant and arrogant.
Yesterday news, about the extremely jacked up priced for projects, only proved that not many are too concerned about progress. I mean, fine, you wanna charge high price tag to a project, ICT project for example… then you transfer that back to the consumer via extremely clever scheme or what ever. Honestly, I don’t mind… but please don’t leave us shortchanged.
I mean, take our telcos for example. There you go, spreading across the newspapers, having press conferences, MOU this, MOU that, groundbreaking ceremonies etc then proclaim the high cost of the project, thus justify to charge us exorbitant bill on monthly basis. All is good. It’s business. But … please lar … charge us accordingly. Maintain the charges but bring up the speed to the world standard lar wei.
